“The meaning of any communication is the response that you get.” ~ NLP Presupposition

If you’re not getting the response that is useful in the exchange you are having so far, may be you should consider changing how you are communicating.

To be a good communicator, you consider the following three aspects of your communication, and when all three are working well you stand to reap the rewards:

  1. Know the specific outcome you want to generate from the communication. Having a well-formed outcome for your communication is parmaount to expressing yourself, communicating and knowing when your communication has been successful.
  2. Create maximum flexibility in your ability to communicate the same set of information in multiple ways, both expressivley and responsively. Being able to communicate by making connections between concepts and the content is a great skill. Being able to rely upon a communication style that has become an unconsious competence is really helpful, as this level of skill increases your flexibility without overburdening your effort to do so.
  3. You need to be able to hear, and fully comprehend with accuracy, the responses you are getting. Flexibility includes tracking {the recipeint(s)} on multiple levels, while being able to form your next sentence.
